Asus hat auf seinen Support-Seiten neuerlich ein Bios-Update bereitgestellt. Dieses vergrößert den nutzbaren Grafikspeicher des integrierten Grafikchips von 128 auf 224 MB. Wie schon beim kürzlich veröffentlichten Patch soll mit dem Update die Grafik-Leistung spürbar besser werden. Das Update steht für die Modelle Eee PC 900A, Eee PC 900HA, Eee PC904HA, Eee PC1000H, Eee PC 1000HE und Eee PC S101 zu Verfügung.
The guys at eeepc.it have been keen eyed and have spotted that Asus have updated their support site to include a new version of the Eee PC BIOS. The new BIOS can increase the memory usage of the on board graphics card from 128Mb to 224Mb boosting usage of video streaming and software that requires a higher graphic resource.
Models supported for the new BIOS version include the Eee PC 1000HA, 904HA, 900HA, 904HA, 1000H and the Eee PC 1000HE which can be found on the Asus support site.
Asus has released the new version of the BIOS for the Eee PC and increase the amount of memory used by the onboard video adapter, raising it from 128 to 224 Mb.
The update improves the performance of video streaming (YuoTube, Vimeo and the like) and generally provides greater support to all applications that require the use of graphics resources.
It is obviously not possible to perform miracles but those who have already tried ensures that any improvement is noted, especially if you use Windows. It is certainly advisable to proceed with the upgrade subject however to have in mind the risks that this entails, especially when performed with superficiality.
